What type of magnet is used in a magnetron (microwave oven) ?
The magnets found in magnetrons, that are used in microwave ovens, are very dark and circular. Does anyone what these magnets are made of or what type of magnets they are?

They use permanent magnets.
If you’re asking for the exact elemental chemistry, I’m sure that it varies from brand to brand, better microwave technology to better microwave technology.

Microwave Cavity Discharges in a Supersonic Flow $157.72 Characterization of supersonic flowing discharges (SFD) is important to many applications in aerospace, like plasmaassisted supersonic combustion. In conditions close to the real combustion environment, a cylindrical microwave cavity was used to study the effects of H2 and air admixtures to plasma parameters in an Ar SFD.
