Snow Blade

How do you lubricate the blade of your snow shovel?
I’ve read that you can use various household substances to lubricate the blad of your snow shovel so that snow like the snow the mid atlantic got today will slide right off.
Today’s snow was painfully sticky and heavy and even when you turn the shovel upside down, it doesn’t come off.
So what do you think is the best way? PAM? Olive oil? WD-40? Silocone lubricant? Something else?
I haven’t dug out my car yet which is parked on the street, so I’m hoping to make that a little easier for myself than it was to shovel out the driveway, sidewalk and front walkway.

If the shovel is clean and dry, spray silicone works great. It wears off quickly, so you may need to reapply every storm or two. If it’s a steel shovel, try car wax. Hope this helps.
