Should I buy a Kenmore sewing machine or Husqvarna?

We are trying to determine what type of sewing machine to get. My wife can, in principle, Cash in all his points and get a Sears Kenmore $ 400 / R free. Sewing is a local sale, and are selling for $ Huskystar C10 250 (regular $ 579). Can anyone give us an idea of one of these models? Is one better than another manufactuer? My wife is not a sewer or anything hardcore, but also is used for a lover of the machine. Thanks!

Huskystar are machinery not manufactured by Viking, but sold by them as entry-level machines. In general, seem solidly built, but not quite the engineering of the Vikings. Kenmore machines, to the best of my knowledge, are made by Janome, which have the reputation for building some cheap machines better. I hope you get a backup of the intermediary business in the Huskystar … Class Guide Basic someone to answer questions if you have problems with the machine, general support. I hope that the machine can be repaired locally, with a pair of run-time less than a week to try to get a service in a crazy time of year (Thanksgiving to Christmas usually a mechanic nuts!) Sears offers no real support. and the machine must be returned for warranty service. The C10 is an abandoned machine – They are offering to you for half the price in the past, Viking has been very good about the availability of parts for older machines – Not sure if that's true or not Huskystar line – something you should know. I talk to the repair shop Sears local / Janome parts availability. My personal opinion is his wife must prove the C10 and how to sew for her, and see Kenmore. Not having tried any of these machines, but with a Viking who has served me well for 12 + years, tended to lean towards Huskystar … unless they find offensive anything about it (have you checked the comments http://www.patternreview.com machine?). Janome and I do not get along and I would like, then it would not be my machine of choice unless I was on a budget very tight. But I know that many people who are happy with their Janome – all of them are just not "my" machine.
