What is a Pro Circuit Holeshot Device and how does it affect the bikes performance?
I am looking at purchasing a Yamaha YZ250F (four-stroke) for trail riding purposes. Obviously, this is a device that helps gain the holeshot but HOW? Would it affect the bike for the purpose I want it for.
By the way…I know it is an MX bike but I still want it for trail and jumping purposes. No need to comment on my choice of bike!
It’s a locking device that attaches to the upper fork tube and the fork slider guard.
They way it works is you push the front end down on the starting line and attach the two pieces of the device. The lowed stance of the front end helps to keep the front end down during the launch while still allowing some weight to transfer to the rear wheel for traction. As the front end bounces after the initial launch the device releases giving you full travel again.
Unless you are racing and launching off a starting line it’s is of no benefit what so ever and pretty much useless.
