Problem with Mini Refrigerator?

Hey, so I’m a college student, and I’m having problems with the Mini Refrigerator that I bought. It is a Haier, and 3.7 cu. f.t if I recall properly.
The problem is that it stops cooling my food… the inside of the fridge has been lukewarm for the past couple of days, and I had to throw my food away. This happened about a week ago as well. I unplugged it for a day, and restarted it but then about 12 hours later it quit again.

It is plugged in.
The compressor is running, I can hear it, and it’s hot.

i hope you didnt just recently defrost this thing with a knife… if you did happen to poke a hole in the evaporator, the part of the freezer that gets cold, then you are done, otherwise it sounds like you might have a weak compressor.
that type of a repair is too expensive if its not under warranty to repair.
just go out and get a new unit and dont use anything but warm air to defrost when it needs it.
