Does Home Depot have its own product lines?

What I mean is do they carry specific lines of Maytag, GE, Amana, etc appliances that are only sold in Home Depot stores?

The reason why I am asking is because we bought a Maytag 300 dishwasher there 20 months ago and it is already dead from issues with the control panel. It is just as much money to repair so we decided to replace it instead. Even though the Depot has the best prices, I’m wondering if we should continue buying there because maybe their products are so inexpensive is because they are CHEAP. Would we have better luck with quality of product if we bought from a large but locally owned appliance store instead?

Speaking as someone who was not so recently fired from the Home Depot, I’d still buy your appliances there, but then don’t buy the cheapest thing…or the one with the most gimmicks. Anything that can go wrong will go wrong, so the more there are to go wrong, the more will go wrong. And our kitchens department always had more than its fair share of complaints when it came to appliances. Appliance producers are very competitive, so they’ll be throwing in a lot of cheap “attention grabbers” in hopes of getting your cash. And as much as I hate to admit it, GE is probably your best bet, LG is second…whatever…Appliances are the only thing in the world I’d actually get the extended service plans on… OR Sears has a really good warranty service, but YEAH, you’re paying for it. Whether it’s worth it or not is up to you.

And I think the only product lines that Home Depot owns are Ridgid, Ryobi, and Husky. There may be more. BEHR paint (rules!) is exclusive, but not owned by the depot. There are a few other exclusives, but I can’t remember.
