With the ice maker and water?

I have a GE refridge through the door icemaker and water. When you put a glass of water there and select does not end outside. The water flows continuously. As well know, if you leave it on the ice, enough to make most of the hopper and stops. Water is obviously the problem. What should I do to fix this problem?
