Is it bad to give dogs water with ice cubes, and ok to give them ice cubes with no water?
Hi. Yes, I know this question may seem stupid. My cousin told me that it’s bad to place ice in a dog’s water bowl but it’s ok to give them ice chips or ice cubes. I personally thought…what’s the difference. I mean ice cubes essentially become ice water, but I still wanted to make sure. Does anyone know. It would be great if somebody could give me a reliable site or link or just from experience I guess. Thanks.
I give my dog ice cubes all the time, but also give him ice water in the summer too and he has had no ill effects from either. Most of the time my dog will fish the ice cubes out of the water and eat them anyway. I can’t see why this would be harmful at all. Water is water whether it’s in cubes or liquid form.
