Install the air filter opened in 1984 Caprice Classic?
I am installing an air filter opened my caprice classic 5.0 V8 84 305 4 barrel carb engine. I realized that the black donut as big as the box filter in the engine now (stock) has a metal pipe that goes to the motor side and a black rubber hose going to something else. What should I do with the assumption that the opening meeting new air filter was not for these connections. Should I connect the speakers expose the arm or something? Any help is appreciateped thanks!
* Please Do not connect the power line input air from the air filter base of the valve cover. If you did, PVC valve will not work correctly. This line descends from the base of the air filter housing allows breathing. If you fill out everything, even the stamp on the motor will start running. If any club can make a pause in the valve cover instead of using this line. If no a ventilation hole, several aftermarket companies to sell Chevrolet valve covers at least a pause in a blanket. Leave the PVC valve just as well. She gives a measured quantity of housing blow-by at the base of the carburetor, because of emissions.
